Ammonia thiosulfate in Japanese plum tree thinning Rev. Bras. Frutic.
Ayub,Ricardo Antonio; Bauchrowitz,Iohann Metzger; Silva,Clandio Medeiros da; Pessenti,Isabela Leticia; Grimaldi,Fernanda; Pereira,André Belmont.
Abstract In order to test the use of ammonia thiosulfate (ATS) in the chemical thinning of the Japanese plum tree, a field experiment was conducted throughout the 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 crop growing seasons at Ponta Grossa, PR, Brazil. The experimental design adopted herein was a randomized block design (RBD). During the 2015/2016 season, the trial was comprised of two accesses and six treatments, such as T1 (control); T2 (ATS 4%); T3 (ATS 5%); T4 (ATS 6%); T5 (ATS 7%) and T6 (manual thinning) with four replications. During the 2016/2017 season, solely one plum tree access was taken into account along with six treatments, such as T1 (control); T2 (ATS 6%); T3 (ATS 7%); T4 (ATS 8%); T5 (ATS 9%) and T6 (manual thinning) and four replications. The...

Micropropagation of the new apple rootstock ‘G. 814’ Ciência Rural
Meneguzzi,Aline; Gonçalves,Mayra Juline; Camargo,Samila Silva; Grimaldi,Fernanda; Weber,Gabriela Candido; Rufato,Leo.
ABSTRACT: International breeding programs launched new genetic material of apple rootstocks that in addition to precocity and great yield are resistant to major diseases and soil pests encountered in the largest apple producing regions in Brazil. Given this, there is a necessity for vegetative propagation of these materials for study and possible replacement of existing rootstocks. The objective was to adapt a micropropagation protocol for new apple rootstock ‘G. 814’. In the multiplication phase were evaluated BAP concentrations: 0; 0.5; 1; 2 and 4mg L-1 and in the rooting phase were evaluated IBA concentrations: 0; 0.25; 0.50; 1; 1.5 and 2.5mg L-1. These new results demonstrated that this new rootstock selection can be propagated with this tissue culture...

Sucrose concentration and volume of liquid medium on the in vitro growth and development of blackberry cv. Tupy in temporary immersion systems Ciência e Agrotecnologia
Ayub,Ricardo Antônio; Santos,Jessé Neves dos; Zanlorensi Junior,Luiz Antônio; Silva,Daurimar Mendes da; Carvalho,Tereza Cristina de; Grimaldi,Fernanda.
ABSTRACT Micropropagation of small fruits such as blackberry has been employed due to the need to obtain plants with high phytosanitary quality. Bioreactor technology has been used to improve efficiency in seedling production. Thus, the objective of this work was to evaluate the best culture medium volume and sucrose concentration for blackberry micropropagation in a temporary immersion bioreactor. In vitro blackberry shoots were segmented containing two buds and an internode (1.0 cm) and placed into MS medium supplemented with inositol (0.1 g L-1), BAP (1 mg L-1) and sucrose (10, 20, 30 or 40 g L-1) at different medium volumes (150, 175 and 200 mL). The total length, number of leaves, number of shoots, and number of hyperhydric shoots were evaluated 56...
